Tom primarily practices law with an emphasis on personal injury, wills and probate, real estate transactions, and general civil litigation matters.

Tom graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Government. He was a John Marshall Pre-Law Honor Society member and conducted research on the constitutionality of federal environmental laws.

In 2013, Tom graduated with his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School. While in law school, Tom was a volunteer law clerk for a Maine state district court judge, a constitutional law research assistant, a health care intern at the Vermont Public Interest Research Group, and conducted research on novel avenues of tort redressability for diseases acquired via artificial reproductive technology.

After graduating from VLS, Tom was a clinical research assistant at the Bladder Health and Reconstructive Urology Institute in Miramar, Florida. He is one of the authors on uro-gynecological research presented to the Texas-division of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His research also includes infant mortality in Sierra Leone women with vesico-vaginal fistulas, meta-study analysis of prostate cancer in Haitian males, and he also conducted numerous urodynamic studies.

Prior to working at Martin & Associates, Tom was a staff attorney at the Department of Vermont Health Access, which manages Vermont’s Medicaid program and Vermont Health Connect. His responsibilities included administrative interpretation and implementation of federal and state rules and regulations, and contract drafting, review, and enforcement of complex healthcare matters.

Tom is admitted to practice in Vermont as well as before the Federal District Court for Vermont. He is a member of the Vermont Bar Association and Central Vermont Chapter of the American Inns of Court. He lives in Montpelier, Vermont.
