We focus on representing people—not institutions—in serious injury cases, medical malpractice claims, civil rights litigation, and a small number of other contested civil matters where courtroom skill, strategic judgment, and close lawyer-client collaboration matter most.
We are selective about the matters we take. That allows us to give each case the attention it deserves, prepare it thoroughly, and pursue it with the level of care serious litigation demands.
Although our roots are in Vermont, we also work with other lawyers as co-counsel on select cases in other jurisdictions. We do not try to be everything to everyone, but we are glad to help where our experience is useful.
